The Bethel High School of the Valley will have a major impact on the education of many young people in the Tumbaco Valley. This high school is located on the San Carlos plantation which was given to the Association of Evangelical Berean Churches for the purpose of training leaders for the "work of the ministry."  The first and most urgent is the formation of the Bethel High School of the Valley.

RENOVATION PROJECTS

The plans are already in the works to begin the renovating projects.  Each room will be redone to accommodate the needs of the Bethel High School of the Valley.  The 2007-2008 school year will be their inauguration year.  Four groups of workers will be assisting in this major undertaking.  Our desire is to have the high school up and running during 2007 with two grades.  Each year after that one more grade will be added.  So pray specifically for the renovation process, so that the classes may begin in September. 

NEW CONSTRUCTION

The new construction plans are being drawn up for approval in the city planning commission.  With four acres of land the project of constructing new building must be a specially prepared and definitely planned endeavor.  Pray that God would lead the Christian high school board to make proper decisions.  Waiting on the Lord is a key but many Ecuadorians have not experienced this kind of direction before.  Most of this is new to them.  Major goals and objectives are in order to fulfill the purpose that the donors had in educating Ecuadorians in the Word of God in this "old plantation".  Be much in prayer as God opens the doors to this major project.  We will be updating this website to keep you informed of the answers to your prayers.

CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION

 The need for high school education that is Christian remains the utmost priority.  In the Berean churches there are two grade schools, but the young people who graduate from these schools must go elsewhere to get their high school education.  Therefore, the leaders have made this their goal.  Students can study in a Christian environment throughout their grade school and high school years.  A Christian young man has agreed to be the director of this new high school.  Students are already talking about attending.  Parents are curious as to what specialized studies this school will have for their children.  God is working in the lives of these leaders and their ministries.  Pray for the leaders to place solid, mature Christians in this institution, so that the young people who attend will be molded into the likeness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

PRAY FOR THE NEW CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL

1.  Pray for the board who are planning for the renovation projects.

2.  Pray for the many details that the director must get done by September, 2007. 

3.  Pray for the students who will be attending, that they will learn God's Word.

4.  Pray for the parents to become involved in this project and assist in their child's education.

5.  Pray that God would be glorified in all that is done.

6.  Pray for the director, Gabriel Cepeda, as he begins the new high school.
