PRAYER FOR THE DAILY BATTLE March 19, 2011 Nothing is “normal” in ministry. So in February and early March the weeks were not “run of the mill” times. However, they were filled with normal family blessings. Let me explain God’s wonderful answers to prayer during these “abnormal” days. Sharon and I don’t have a grandchild every day, so to enjoy the presence of a new granddaughter is not a normal day’s activity. Sharon spent three weeks with Seth and Bonnie in Cincinnati. I went for a “too short” week in early March. The extra special blessing was to see all of our children and grandchildren during that week. That’s why it was for a very, very short visit. We are grateful to God for the privilege of seeing each one of them, as He provides the opportunity. Of course, if you would like to see more pictures of Aubrey Grace just click on her name and it will take you to our website where her pictures are. She is a month old already and has grown so very much. We enjoy keeping up with her on Skype and chatting as often as it is possible. This special blessing in our family is one huge blessing. Let us give you more similar blessings. 1. The gospel continues to reach out to people who are lost in sin. The good news has gone out through new means. Seven young men have prepared themselves for sharing the gospel through a method of painting. These new servants will be going out more often, as they help the evangelist Rafael Molineros. God saves people. 2. The students of the Berean Bible Institute are planning four outreach gospel teams during this semester. Praise the Lord that they are excited to do a work that is not popular but so necessary. 3. Jaime and Miriam, who live in La Bota, have been very involved in the formation of a new Bible study group starting this week. Rafael will be teaching it each Friday. Praise the Lord for a hunger of the Word. 4. Héctor Estrada along with his wife and daughter are getting settled into an apartment; enjoying his teaching load in the Bible institute; and making many new friends in their new ministry. Praise the Lord for men who obey the Lord in their lives. 5. One new evangelist was so excited to share his faith through painting, that he went to an area all by himself and shared the gospel on three occasions. He believed that there would be lots of opposition, however many listened and some believed. Praise the Lord. 6. God has given much peace and strength during this past month. Our love for the Ecuadorians grows every day. We desire them to be saved; to come to the knowledge of Christ; and to the stature of His fullness. 7. Lynford had his periodic check up with the cardiologist. As he checked the defibrillator with his computer, there were no episodes recorded. God is very, very good. Each month you have the opportunity of reading about the many blessings from God. As God answers, we enjoy sending you more requests. The battle never ends, until Glory. Thank you for praying. 1. Pray for the teaching of the Word in La Bota during the next few months. These studies will be of utmost importance to the solid beginning of a new church. 2. God is working in the hearts of the students who will be going out this semester on their evangelism teams. Pray for each of these young people as they reach out to others in their need of salvation. 3. The annual missionary conference will be held in May. Already be praying for this conference as all the plans are being made. Each person attending will hear from God in a personal way, as they desire to obey His call. 4. Continue to pray for Lynford as he counsels many young men and women; couples who need the changes in their lives the Bible teaches. One couple is receiving the truths with joy and making the changes necessary in their family. How powerful is the Word! 5. God will be opening up more opportunities to teach the classes of the Bible institute in other areas of Ecuador. Pray for guidance in planning and wisdom in presenting the truths of God’s Word in other locations. 6. Pray for the open door for the gospel in the areas around La Bota. The evangelists are going to begin more extensive outreach ministries in other suburbs around North Quito. You and I know of the opposition that will be coming. So let’s pray for them. 7. God has answered many of your prayers for our financial needs through the years. Each month has opened our eyes to the many people God uses to meet those needs. This month (as last month) God has abundantly provided. Never have we experienced such an outstanding generous heart of God’s people. Pray for these faithful financial members of our mission team. 8. Pray for Brad, Brenda and Bonnie and their families. Each has many responsibilities that must be accomplished. Each must train their children for God’s glory. Each is following the Lord in their lives. Pray for each of them obey the Lord daily. 9. God has given Sharon and me health enough to be doing what He has called us to do. Lynford is working on more translating projects for the counseling class. He asks wisdom for this. Sharon is working on more children’s materials and aids for the teachers. She loves her work. Thank you for your participation on our prayer team. Rejoicing in God’s greatness, Lynford and Sharon Regier |
