 BIGGER FAMILY

That’s exactly right!  Our family is growing in number.  Brody Donovan Regier arrived on June 20, 2011 to Brad and Brandy Regier in Valparaiso, IN.  Brody’s five brother and sisters are thrilled to hold their little addition to the family.  He weighed in at 8 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.  You can go to our website to see the pictures of our newest grandson, and the latest pictures of the other eight grandchildren.  They grow too fast to keep up with.  Thank the Lord for internet to see pictures and chat with them.  God knows what we need.  Go to our website at this address to see the latest pictures of our family http://ecuadorecho.com/familypics2011.htm .

EVANGELISM UPDATE

Thank you for praying for our men who are serving on the frontlines of evangelism, against the enemy who wishes that they fall into sin and be eliminated from service.  One of them came to chat with Lynford and said, “I’m ready to quit.”  The reason?  Discouragement that hits all of us at times in our ministry.  The Word of God is our guide.  What joy to be able to share with him and his wife the peace to move ahead no matter what had been said.  New servants of the Lord are very sensitive to what others say.  All of us must be very careful to speak the words that edify.  Talked to the couple on Saturday and they went out to another town to share the gospel.  God has given them a forgiving heart and with more humility want to serve the Lord with their family.

MISSION CLASS ON A TRIP

Evangelism trip that is.  The final grade for the mission class was the trip to the province of Manabí in Northeastern part of Ecuador.  This trip was a follow up visit.  The second opportunity to share the gospel was well received.  Will a church be planted in Pinuelas?  That depends on the discipleship ministry that is ongoing in that community.  Everyone realizes the great need of placing two Ecuadorian missionary couples in this area of Ecuador for the future ministry.  Would you pray that God will lead His choice of servants to this very needy area?  What is needed in this community?  The inhabitants are very much involved in drinking, community feasts with dancing and carousing, peer pressure to follow the neighbor into sin and the religious norms that direct their thinking.  Small communities are much more rooted in sin; harder to enter their circle to bring the good news of salvation to them.  Pray that the power of the gospel will enter this sector of Ecuador.

LATEST IN LA BOTA

Marcelo and his wife came to see Lynford for help with their marriage.  They both recognized their sin in the relationship.  Then through the Word, both trusted Christ as Savior.  Jaime, a believer in their suburb, is discipling this couple in the fundamentals of their new faith.  Two purposes for this: one is that Jaime will be teaching his first couple in the principles of discipleship and second the couple will be growing in their walk with God.  Lynford went there on Saturday and God is working.  Marcelo needed a job and three days later had a good job.  Wow, how fast God works.  Their marriage needed lots of Biblical help and God is using Jaime and his wife to give them the practical help needed.  God is working in the families there.  Another couple is separated and has a ton of problems.  Can God change this one too?  Of course, but the question is, when?  The Bible study continues each Friday.  Evangelism continues each Saturday.  Discipleship continues each week.  How will God use the Ecuadorians to build His Church?  Pray for these faithful men and women: Jaime and Miriam, Pablo, Rafael and Eusebio.

  GRADUATION IN THE BIBLE INSTITUTE

Three students finished all their class work in time to graduate on June 26.  The service was a big celebration of the faithfulness of God and His servants.  One fellow wants to start a Bible study in his home and help with a church plant in the Eastern side of Ecuador.  Another is available to God to serve Him wherever.  The third wishes to serve as a missionary and is now praying about the location of her ministry.  Two hundred attended the graduation service and half stayed for the banquet that followed.  Good service; good food; good fellowship equals a great day of finishing the school year with the students.  Next year there will be lots more students and lots more ministry accomplished by these young men and women.  May God be praised and His name lifted up on High.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

God has provided enough finances for these months through your faithfulness to our ministry.  Thank you very much.  Our car is in the mechanic shop with a motor overhaul.  God has provided and will provide.  God bless you richly.

PRAYER APPRECIATED

Each month we recognize the prayer power that generates the answers to our prayer needs.  Does that seem trite?  Not for us.  The needs that are constantly in our ministry must take a strong faith in our wonderful God to bring about the changes necessary.  Evangelism, discipleship, counseling and teaching must be done with complete trust in God.  Thank you for praying.

Because Jesus Intercedes,
