God's
leading is not something mystical. It is a direct act of God in
which the Christian receives direction in a specific area of his/her
life and ministry. This is my definition and can be amplified or
corrected, but let me dwell on its content a little. God’s work of
leading His children occurs when the Word of God is read. The
Christian life is filled with decisions to be made. When the need
arises in areas of life God specializes in guiding and giving His
approval.
Praise the Lord for these items:
1.
Thank our wonderful God for His protection and guidance in
times of intense stress.
2.
Have I told you that our 9th grandchild was born?
Brody Donovan was born on June 20, weighing 8 lbs 14 oz., 19.5
inches long. Everyone of the family is definitely excited about
this new arrival. We just wish we could go see him and the rest of
Brad’s family.
3.
Seth, Bonnie and Aubrey Killen are moving to Charleston, IL
the end of July. Seth has taken a teaching job at Eastern Illinois
University. They have purchased their first home and are anxious to
get it ready to live in.
4.
Dave, Brenda, Daniel and Luke Meyer are busy, busy with teams
and ministry activities. Another team comes in August, and then
they will be ready to settle into ministry. God has provided a nice
home for them to rent.
5.
Sharon and Lynford are doing well in their health and
strength. God has given His grace and mercy through some trying
times.
6.
God is using the evangelists in a mighty way in many
different areas of Ecuador. This has been the biggest blessing for
us to see. Rafael shared the message of salvation with 2,500
students during in grade schools and high schools during one
week.
7.
Praise the Lord for the leadership of the Fellowship of
Berean Churches. Each month there are decisions to be made. God’s
leading is the key for their future growth and plans for expanding
into other areas of Ecuador.
8.
Praise the Lord for the pastors of the Berean churches.
Leaders of each church must make many decisions which affect the
entire church. How important it is to make wise decisions.
9.
Praise the Lord for the outreach ministries of the students
of the Bible institute. They are learning how to serve the Lord
outside of their home towns.
10.
May God be praised for the Holy Spirit’s work in the lives of
Jaime and Miriam. They desire to start a church in their
neighborhood. Jaime is learning how to disciple other men. He is
also taking more responsibility in the home, teaching his three
sons.
11.
God is a wonderful, glorious, gracias and caring God. The
very thought of serving such a God is awe inspiring. God continues
to show His mercy and grace.
Pray for these requests as God works
through you.
1.
Ask God to give wisdom to the leaders of the Christian high
school. The government has made drastic changes in the educational
system which has affected them tremendously. They need to hire more
teachers and makes some changes to the buildings.
2.
Pray for the Bible institute board as they plan for the next
year’s schedule and courses. Our goal is to have 100 students
involved in studying the Word.
3.
Pray for the four weeks of camp in July and August. The
first week has 60 campers. The other youth weeks will be full as
well.
4.
Sharon will be hosting the DVBS in our home the end of July.
Pray for guidance in teaching and sharing with all the children who
will be attending.
5.
Pray for the three grads of the Bible institute. Patty,
Milton and Carlos are all very involved in missions. God’s leading
in their lives is critical, as they move out by faith and do the
will of God.
6.
The new mission works need leaders to build, teach and guide
the new disciples in their walk. La Bota needs a pastor to lead,
counsel and teach. God leads His people.
7.
The evangelists need your prayer daily. They invade Satan’s
territory every day. God has given them His words as they share
Jesus with others.
8.
Pray for wisdom in the organization of the schedule of
evangelism for the evangelists. Doing things as they come makes for
a whole lot of confusion. The work will be done more effectively
with some management of their time.
9.
Sharon and I will be going on a ministry/sightseeing trip in
August. Pray that this time will be relaxing and refreshing for
both of us.
10.
Pray for Pastor Marco as he and his wife, Marlene, have some
decisions to make. They are seeking God’s will in another
ministry. God has been working in their hearts.
11.
Lynford is helping three couples with the solution of
difficulties in their homes. God’s leading makes the whole
difference in their lives. Pray for a clear teaching of the
biblical principles on the family.
12.
Marco and Maricela are facing a very difficult health issue
with their youngest son. Emmanuel has cystic fibrosis, which was
detected a month ago. The medicine is scarce in Ecuador for this
disease since few children have it. Pray for a way to pay for and
get the medicine from the USA.
13.
Our desire and prayer for you is that you might know the
leading of the Lord in your life and ministry.
Rejoicing in God’s greatness,
Lynford and Sharon Regier
