 Christmas Edition

Faithful is the word for the 2009 Ecuador Echoes Christmas letter.  God gave His promise of the seed of the woman who would provide for the forgiveness of sin.  God was faithful to bring that prophecy to fulfillment.  Jesus was faithful to obey His father to die for our sins.  Each generation has been faithful to pass along the message of salvation and now it is our turn to share it with others.  Will we be faithful?

NEWS FROM QUITO

The reports from Quito show that three young couples have gotten married during these fall months.  Six young people were in our pastorate in Quito.  They began dating after they went off to college.  What a blessing to see these young people choosing Christian partners.  These young people now have the responsibility to remain faithful in their marriage.   They have been taught.  They have a solid foundation in life.  Will they remain faithful to the Word?

NEW CHURCH PLANTS

The greatest gift we can give is the gift of the message of salvation.  God gave His son.  He is our Savior.  Now we give the message to others who choose to receive or reject it.  The students of the Bible institute have reached out to others in order to start new churches in areas of spiritual need.  Special Christmas programs, evangelistic outreach and discipleship teaching continue for the purpose of giving others the opportunity to receive this gift.  The young Bible institute students must learn to be faithful in their ministry.  Who will pastor these new churches?  Faithful men.

CHURCH VISITS

The huge blessing of home ministry assignment is visiting with many faithful men and women who are participating in our ministry.  They love the Lord.  They love missions.  They love to take part in assisting others.  These are our team members.  You are on this team.  You have encouraged us so very much.  We trust to be able to see you in the next six months.  If you would like a visit and we have not contacted you, get in contact with us at the address below.  Faithful partners in ministry are the lifeline of missions.

PRAYER REQUEST

Pray to the Lord for the provision of new servants to work in the harvest field.  Sharon and I have been chatting with young people who are interested in serving the Lord.  Our desire is to guide them into service where God would have them minister.  How important it is to obey the Lord.  Following the Lord wherever His will leads is the theme of every servant.

WEDDING IN THE USA

Lynford was asked to perform a wedding for a young couple who desires to serve the Lord together.  They met in Argentina.  The fellow is Ecuadorian and has now received his US visa to come here for the wedding.  They will be preparing themselves for a future ministry in Ecuador.  Their desire is to minister to street children in Quito.  God has opened the doors for this ministry.  Pray for this young couple, as they seek the Lord’s will for this very important ministry.  They will be involved in preparation for ministry during the next few years.  Pray for a faithful heart to remain true to God’s calling.

SERVING IN 2010

Teams are getting formed to participate in the construction progress in Ecuador.  Have you mentioned your interest to us?  We would love to talk with you about your visit to Ecuador in 2010.  One project is the first phase of a five story educational wing of the church in Tumbaco.  Let us know your interest.  Our Ecuadorian families are very interested in hosting you and showing you the true Ecuadorian hospitality.

PROJECT PARTICIPATION

Lynford has put together a list of projects that you can be involved in during 2010.  These are very important projects for the future ministry of church planting in Ecuador.  Let us know what your interest is in these projects.

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS

God has provided for each of our needs.  Each month is a special time to reflect on how good God’s people are in sacrificing for the needs of missions.  We see how faithful our team members are.

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS

Sharon and I would like to wish you and your family a joyous Christmas and a wonderful New Year.  It is so thrilling for us to celebrate the birth of our wonderful Savior another year.

 MERRY CHRISTMAS

&

HAPPY NEW YEAR

 Because God is faithful,

Lynford and Sharon Regier
